I write and edit speeches, reports, newsletters, and website content for companies and nonprofit organizations. I specialize in recharging publications that have lost some of their spark, editing non-native English speakers, and completing editorial projects that have run into difficulties. I’ve worked on projects for:

Deutsche Bank, one of the world’s leading investment banks, based in Frankfurt. As a consultant, I completed a series of projects for the bank’s Risk Management division, including editing a 15-chapter history of the bank; editing presentations, articles, and announcements for senior-level executives; and developing a strategy and timetable for turning an internal print magazine into a searchable online publication. Later, the bank hired me to serve as the speechwriter for the CEO of Deutsche Bank Americas.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, a Kansas City, Mo.-based private foundation that promotes entrepreneurship and educational achievement. The foundation hired me to report on entrepreneurship grant recipients at universities in Wisconsin, South Carolina, and upstate New York.

The University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago/Peoria/Rockford/Urbana-Champaign. The college hired me to write profiles of donors and grant recipients for its annual reports on giving.

AARP, the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit for Americans age 50 and older. The organization hired me to write articles for its newsletter for retired teachers.

Adelphi University, Garden City, N.Y. The university hired me to write profiles of prominent graduates and articles about academic research for its alumni magazines.

The Hechinger Institute on Education and the Media, a Columbia University-based organization that informs the public about education. The organization hired me to repackage a print brochure for publication on the web and write a backgrounder on science education.
